Eilistraee Can Be Appreciated By All

Kouse's Sanctum - Eilistraee - Midnight

This is Eilistraee in Midnight from Kouse’s Sanctum. Eilistraee is a collection that
began as one outfit, white and deep silver (actually black) for the Eilistraee
Priestesses. Due to popularity and many requests Kouse recolored the outfit to suit
many tastes, with available colors including a rosy pink, ruby red, emerald green, turquoise blue (the ”Ocean” shade) and more.

The sets are comprised of a corset, pants, system skirt, prim skirt, prim flex sleeves, and shoes.

The set is well textured, the hand painted corset having a nice almost vinyl look to it.
Eilistraee is sold as No Copy/No Mod/Transfer, so it can be given as a gift easily, if you
need to edit the prims for more than position, a quick IM to Kouse Singh telling her what you need and she will send you the parts as Copy/Mod/No Trans so you can adjust and
pick at the peices as much as you like. She was very accomodating in my chat with her, and response time was fairly swift.

This set is unique as well in the fact that it can be worn as combat clothing.
Just take off the prim skirt, the system skirt, put  on the belt prims, take off the
delicious flex sleeves (if that is your wont) and presto! You’re ready to end lives.

The wonderful Nicky Ree of Designing Nicky Ree is giving away this lucious, gorgeous gown for free. As unbelievable as it sounds, it’s true!

The texturing on this gown is just fabulous, as is the prim work on the skirt, which is worn as three different attatchments. The end result is a beautiful fluid skirt that moves excellently.

Without a doubt this is one of the best freebies I’ve ever come across, everything I’ve seen from Nicky Ree so far has been beautiful, artful and innovative.

Crystal from Kouse’s Sanctum

Kouses Sanctum - Crystal - Twilight

The new release from Kouse’s Sanctum is a dream come true for those ladies who love to wrap themselves in detailed luxury. The corset is stunningly detailed, and the entire gown seems to just shimmer and glow. The Twilight version (pictured) was released to the members of her update group (Kouse’s Sanctum) as a freebie. Membership does indeed prove to have benefits!

These gowns are available in seven different glorious shades in her shop and on SLX. Rumor says there are more colours to come, and my assumption is that that would be the case, as in the seven hues currently available there is a distinct absence of reds, pinks, and a few other colours.

The prim construction on these gowns is excellent, the prims fit my av perfectly, but for those who may need to modify the size or anything else, these gowns sell as Copy/Mod/No Trans. The skirt is multi layered, the top layers being translucent and the bottom layers being solid. The effect of this and the construction of the prims themselves makes the flex pieces, including the sleeves, seem to be light, to just float. An excellent gown for dancing in.

To sum up, Crystal is the gown for a princess, be she Medieval or contemporary. A fabulous and welcome addition to almost any wardrobe.

Chimera from Evie’s Closet

January 26, 2008 at 10:54 am (Evie's Closet, Tres Belle) (, , , , )

Evie's Closet - Chimera - Azure

Enter Chimera from Evie’s Closet. This is Evangeline Miles latest release, available in six colours at her shops. The pictured gown is Azure. The textures on this gown are quite rich. Personally I’d have preferred the corset on the Azure gown to be more blue, but it’s lovely nonetheless.

The gown is sold as Copy/Mod/No Trans, which comes in handy for modifications. I needed to adjust the skirt and belt to fit my av a little better, as upon first wearing the delicious prim belt was swallowed entirely by the skirt prims.

The skirt itself is comprised of three layers, one base layer that I’m quite certain is not flex, a second layer which presents the rich velvety fabric, and a third, more gossamer overlay layer.

The prim flex sleeves are a lovely touch, making a beautiful gown all the more feminine. Chimera would make a stunning addition to any wardrobe.

Avilion Mist Entchantress Series

January 25, 2008 at 2:14 pm (Avilion Mist, Tres Belle) (, , , , )

A while back the Avilion Mist store, owned and operated by Serenity Sieyes and Malakh Giles, released a whole slew of amazing items. One gown set in particular I’m highlighting is the Enchantress set. These sets are impressive. The textures are sumptuously rich and very detailed, and all the prim parts are constructed masterfully.

Avilion Mist - Enchantress - FW Lavendar

The pictured set is the Free Woman (FW of Gor) version, named ’Lavendar’. The set is available in a total of five varieties.  The rest of these gowns, (Midnight, Fire, Snow, and Royal Purple) Contain FW options, which in essence are opions for those more modest in their dress, but can also be worn in a more revealing way, without the undershirt.

The sets all come with wonderful scripted capes which can be clicked to access a menu which presents the owner with several options, including resizing and lighting effects. Prim headpeices are included, one with a viel, one without. All the prim parts fitted my av perfectly upon wearing, no adjustments were needed.

Over all this set is a wonderful addition to any wardrobe and comes highly reccomdended.

Arwen’s Introduction

January 21, 2008 at 11:24 am (Uncategorized)

Warm and friendly salutations, I am Arwen. There is nothing in the whole of SL I love more than clothing and jewelry, seconded closely by offering my opinions of said clothing and jewelry.

If you would like me to review your work, please send copies of the items you wish to have reviewed to me (Arwen Jenkins) though it’s quite possible I may just buy it and review it anyway, sending is the best way to get my immediate attention, rather than hoping I’ll discover your creations on my own in my wanderings.

That being said, I hope you will join me, reader, as time progresses and I review items.
